The Cobb's Hill neighborhood is named for the large and stunning Cobb's Hill Park, which is on the Western side of the neighborhood. Cobb's Hill Park is a favorite of runners, who do laps around the sparkling reservoir set high on top of the hill. Lake Riley, in the Northwesternmost corner of the Cobb's Hill neighborhood, used to be a turn-around for canal ships, before the old canal bed was abandoned and became Interstate 490. East of Cobb's Hill park is the bulk of the Cobb's Hill neighborhood's housing stock, which consists of houses built between the 1920's and 1950's, mostly single-family with a few multi-families sprinkled in. Many of the homes are built in the colonial, tudor, or arts and craft styles popular in the day. The neighborhood has a bit of a higher price point due to its close proximity to the suburb of Brighton.
